Okay, so I still read, but I'm probably too far away to count *laughs*

Yeehoo! Of course, at 6 months pregnant, I don't know how many meetings I'll be attending in the next little bit *hehehe* Of course, though, I will gladly make fun of others for not showing, if you like!

I'm currently reading: A Thousand Splendid Suns by K. Hosseini

I am in another book club for work. They don't meet at peoples houses, instead meeting at a local resteraunts. It doesn't help as far as actually having the time to read the book but at least it would save time on prepping for people to come over. No cooking, no trips to the grocery store, etc.

Right now the book we are reading is The Other Boleyn Girl and last month's book was Twilight by Stephanie Meyer. I liked Twilight (the first book in a trilogy) and so far I am enjoying TOBG as well.

I do check in occasionally, though I haven't read an official book club book in quite a while...

I loved all three books in the Twilight series so far. I even got my mom reading them!

Hello

I just read a great book. It's called OFFING MISS NEVADA. It's a story for women and it reminds me of my own story. You can buy it on the Lulu publishing site.

Here's a synopsis from the book's page on Lulu.

In this first novel, Carol Leonard tells a tender, sensitive tale about a dysfunctional family facing a variety of problems. The biggest problem involves the main characters, sisters Angela and Bev. They are taking care of their elderly, bedridden mother. Angela wants Mama moved to a nursing center. Bev wants her to stay at home where she can care for Mama and pursue a passion for positive thinking. The sisters fight about this problem all the time. Set in the posh town of La Greer Park, Angela works as a wedding coordinator. She has problems with her own marriage, since she suspects her husband has cheated and this is what makes her move in with Mama and Bev. Add to this relationships with teenaged children that don’t always please Angela. It’s a novel that will be relished by anyone taking care of an elderly parent, as well as anyone facing divorce. It’s a timely novel with many twists and turns that force a person to think long and hard about the value of marriage and family. This story is told with a unique voice that will be remembered well after the final page is reached. It’s a story that will teach a valuable lesson about love and what we all need to know to be successful at it.
